Shopping Fix: A.P.C.

Effortlessly Chic - This would best describe A.P.C.. I've been a fan of this french brand for several years now and they've really mastered the art of making clothes look really cool! Their well-cut clothes, shoes, bags and accessories look like investment pieces but are surprisingly affordable. Here are some of the looks that I love:

They also carry shoes and bags. Spotted these beautiful pieces:

A.P.C. Moccasins
A.P.C. Platform Sandals

A.P.C. Saddle Bags

Shopping Fix: Calypso St. Barth

Resort wear has always fascinated me. Maybe because living in a tropical country equates to wearing breathable clothes all the time. It's useless to lust over that leather, camel skirt and and end up sweating like a pig in it. Good for traveling to colder climates but just plain stupid to wear in this city. So, I'm glad to have encountered this store called Calypso St Barth. The designs are chic and functional and you don't have to be in a beach setting just to wear them. Most of the clothes can be mixed and matched with what you have in your closet right now. Here are some of the pieces I like:

Drape Motor Vest

Chantal SweaterEugenia Dress

Andrea Dress

Ceri Cardi
Elba Skirt

Some of these items are on sale already so shop-away!

Rip-off of the Day

I hate seeing other designers copy other designers' works. It's ok to draw inspiration from other people but to copy or do a little tweaking of someone else's original design is just plain crass. So the rip-off of the day award goes to... (drumroll pls)

Celestina's New Tote

Isn't it a tad similar to the Goyard St. Louis?

I also like the Celestina bag because I love totes but I wished they changed the design a bit more. I wouldn't mind carrying one because it looks really light and the leather used looks luxurious but if you remove the vertical straps attached to the body of the bag, change the pattern and Voila! It's a Goyard St. Louis! Very, very creative guys!

Satchels

Hi everyone! It's been 2 years since I last blogged. And with the coercion of my dear hubby, I decided to be part of the fashion, blogging world again. This one will be different from my last as I am doing it alone (had a wonderful co-author/friend before) and will be talking about things that I love to have (or things that I recently acquired: sorry dear hubby). I guess he thought if I had an outlet to talk about my so-called "needs", then maybe the desire to purchase will diminish. Touch luck Honey! Haven't you realized by now that you married an addict?! And as the saying goes: once a fashion addict, always a fashion addict!

Anyway, let's get down to business. Satchels I think are the next go-to-bag for this year because almost all of the brands right now are coming out with their own version. I've seen a few styles that I really, really like. Here are some of them:
